Why "Whitestone"
There is a lot in a name. After years of excellence, service, and growth some businesses will have a name of which to be proud. Those lofty goals are easier to achieve if the business (and it's employees) have a genuine purpose that drives their actions. For us, a good name is not only our goal, but our reminder.
Many consider the Greeks to be the original Democracy, as they allowed the citizens to decide important issues and policies, even applications for citizenship, through a vote. They would gather to hear the matter, with each citizen casting a single vote - a black stone for "no" and a white stone for "yes".
The Greeks also used stones for building. They didn't have concrete, but used masonry construction methods. A "corner stone" was used to ensure the stability and square of the structure. A poor choice in the corner stone, and failure was all but guaranteed.
